Marbella is a city and municipality in southern Spain, belonging to the province of Malaga in the autonomous community of Andalusía. It is part of the region of the Costa del Sol and is the headquarters of the Association of Municipalities of the region; it is also the head of the judicial district that bears its name.
Nueva Andalucía is virtually a residential town on its own. Also known as Valle del Golf or "Golf Valley" for its exclusive golf courses, it is a residential area for the most part, with beautiful detached houses and residential developments.
It is situated in the hillside facing Puerto Banus Yacht harbour and, from the highest point of Nueva Andalucia, you can enjoy one of the best panoramas around the area and the Golf Valley, with views of the African coast and Gibraltar.
It wasn?t until the 50s when, led by Ricardo Soriano and later the Hohenlohes, Goizuetas, Banús, Guerreros, Cocas, that the current Marbella came about: symbol and indicator of quality luxury tourism, which came to definitively change the physiognomy of Marbella, and the entire district as well as the economic activity and lifestyle of its inhabitants.
