Built in the Art Nouveau style, it is considered to be the masterpiece of architect Fernando Guerrero Strachan and took five years to complete. It was finally opened in 1926 by King Alfonso XIII under the name ‘Príncipe de Asturias’.
The building was a hospital during the Civil War, then the Hotel Miramar and later a Courthouse. It is located in a great location, on the seafront of Malaga with spectacular views of the sea, the beach and the city.
